Terms of Use

The plain-language version

Last updated: August 31, 2026

We'd rather be honest than sound perfect. These terms explain who can use SafeSpace, what it is and isn't, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Who it's for

SafeSpace is intended for teenagers, generally ages 13 and up. Because SafeSpace doesn't collect names or ask for proof of age, we rely on this being followed honestly. If you're younger than 13, please ask a trusted adult for help finding age-appropriate support instead.

What SafeSpace is not

SafeSpace is not a medical, therapeutic, or crisis service. Using it doesn't create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or any other professional relationship. The AI and community features are here to help you think things through and feel less alone — not to diagnose, treat, or replace professional care.

If you're in danger, thinking about hurting yourself, or need urgent help, please contact a trusted adult or call 112 in Sweden. You can also reach the crisis resources on our crisis support page.

Crisis numbers shown in the app are picked automatically from your device's location settings. This detection can be wrong, so please confirm the right emergency and helpline numbers for where you are by searching for them online (for example on Google).

Acceptable use

Be kind, be honest, and don't use SafeSpace to harm anyone — including yourself. The full rules are in our Community Guidelines. Please read them, because using SafeSpace means agreeing to follow them.

If guidelines are broken

We may block messages that break these rules automatically. We may also stop a handle from posting if it repeatedly tries to share contact details.

Provided as-is

SafeSpace is a free support tool and we do our best to keep it safe and useful. But we can't promise it will always be perfect, available, or right for your specific situation. Use it at your own discretion, and don't rely on it as your only source of help when something serious is going on.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.
