SafeSpace rooms are anonymous, and every message is checked automatically.
To keep this a safe place, everyone needs to follow a few simple rules.
Not allowed
- Bullying, harassment, or targeting anyone
- Sharing your name, contact info, school, or location — or asking others for theirs
- Trying to arrange to meet someone in person
- Content promoting self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide
- Sexual content or grooming behavior of any kind
- Impersonating a teen if you are not one
This is actively enforced, not just stated
SafeSpace has no private 1:1 messaging on purpose. Every room message is scanned automatically before it posts, and messages that share or ask for contact info — phone numbers (including spaced out, spelled out, or disguised), emails, social handles like Snap, Insta or Discord, or phrases like “DM me”, “add me”, or “let's talk off here” — are blocked and never appear in the room.
How reporting works
Messages are checked automatically before they post. Anyone can report a message. Reports are reviewed when a person is available. We don't have staff monitoring the app in real time. If someone is in immediate danger, call 112. For children and young people, BRIS: 116 111.
If you see something that worries you, report it — you don't need to be the target to report.
Remember
SafeSpace isn't a crisis service. If you're in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, please talk to a trusted adult or call 112 right away. For children and young people, BRIS: 116 111.
