How we protect you

Last updated: October 16, 2026

We would rather be honest than sound perfect. Here is exactly what happens to your data, including the parts that are not fully anonymous.

Your data

Deleting your data removes your posts, reactions, mood check-ins and reports linked to your handle, and gives this browser a new handle. Blocked messages are recorded without your message text and without your IP address. To count repeated blocks, we keep a short record linked to your anonymous handle. That counter lasts up to 7 days. If you are repeatedly blocked, a safety record linked to your handle is kept for up to 30 days. Deleting your data does not remove these records. They are kept only to protect young people from harmful contact and to decide whether a restriction is needed. When a message with contact details is stopped before it is sent, we keep an anonymous record of it with no link to you.

To ask about your data in any other way, email syntonic.consulting07@gmail.com. Nasi chats aren't stored by us, so there is nothing to delete for them. The AI provider keeps technical records of each request for a limited time, which we can't delete.

What we collect

No account, no name, no email, no phone number. You can use Nasi and the Education Hub without giving us anything about yourself. In community rooms you post under an anonymous handle like “User12345”.

Our legal basis for processing

We process the information described on this page under two legal bases: legitimate interest — to run and secure SafeSpace, detect harmful content, and respond to safety signals like signs of crisis — and, where required, consent, such as when you choose to start a chat with Nasi or post in a community room. We only collect what's needed to provide these features safely, and never more than that.

Your anonymous handle

Your handle is stored in a cookie on your device for up to a year, so your posts, reactions, moods and check-ins stay yours. That means those things are linked together under one handle. It is not your name, but it is not untraceable either: anyone with access to the database could see everything one handle posted. Clearing your browser data gives you a new handle.

Chats with Nasi

Your Nasi conversations are kept on your own device and are not saved in our database. But to answer you, what you write is sent to an AI provider, which processes it and keeps technical records of the request for a limited time. So the chat is private from other users and from us — not invisible to the AI provider. Please don’t put your name, school, or address in a message.

Community rooms

Room messages, reactions, mood logs and check-ins are stored with your handle and automatically deleted after 60 days. Reports keep only a count and type, and are deleted after 30 days. We don't have human moderators in real time.

Technical logs

Like every website, the servers that run SafeSpace record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request. We don’t use it to build a profile of you or for advertising, but it exists, it is handled by our hosting and database providers, and in theory it could be connected to your handle.

Automated safety checks

Before a room message is posted it is checked automatically for harmful language and contact details, and some borderline messages are also checked by AI. Nasi looks for signs that you might be in crisis so it can show you helplines. These checks happen in the moment; they don’t create a hidden file on you.

Backups

Our database provider takes automatic backup snapshots so nothing is lost if something breaks. That means a post deleted by the 60-day clean-up can still sit inside an older backup for a while, until that snapshot is rotated out and destroyed. Backups are encrypted and nobody browses them for fun — but “deleted after 60 days” is true of the live database first, and of backups a bit later.

Error reports

When something in the app crashes, your browser sends us an automatic error report: the error message, the technical trace, which page you were on and the time. It is meant to describe the bug, not you — but a trace can occasionally include a fragment of what was on screen, and the report arrives with your IP address like any other request. We only use these to fix things, and they sit outside the 60-day community clean-up, on our error tool’s own retention schedule.

What we never do

We do not sell your data, run advertising trackers, or share what you tell Nasi or post in rooms with parents, schools, or advertisers. We don’t ask for your name and we don’t want it.
