Private journalling prompts

Write on paper or in your notes app — SafeSpace never stores what you write.

  • What do I wish someone would say to me right now?
  • What happened today that I haven't told anyone?
  • If my feeling had a shape and colour, what would it be?
  • What is one thing that wasn't terrible today?
  • What would I say to a friend feeling exactly this?

Reflection questions

  • Is this something I can change, or something I have to get through?
  • Who has been kind to me lately, even in a small way?
  • What am I telling myself right now — and would I say it to a friend?
  • What do I actually need: rest, food, company, or space?

One small step

Not fixing everything. Just the next tiny thing that's actually doable.

Reaching out to someone

The hardest part is the first sentence. Borrow one of these.

  • "Can I talk to you about something? I don't need advice, I just need someone to listen."
  • "Something's been going on and I don't really know how to say it."
  • "I'm not okay at the moment. Can we talk later today?"
  • "I need help with something and I'm worried you'll be disappointed."
