About SafeSpace

Why we built this

Built by parents who get it.

We're a group of parents who built this because we know there are things teens don't always feel comfortable asking the adults in their life, even us.

What the safety checks do — and don't

If your message seems to be about wanting to hurt yourself, we won't post it and will show you where to get help. No one at SafeSpace reads it. These checks look for specific words, so they can miss indirect messages and can sometimes stop a harmless one. They are a moment to pause, not protection — and they can't stop anyone from writing the same words somewhere else.

Growing up is different now

We get that growing up today is different, shaped by technology in ways ours wasn't. This isn't about watching you; it's about making sure there's somewhere safe to go when you need it.

For the in-between moments

This app doesn't replace a parent, counselor, or doctor — it's here for the in-between moments, when you need a place to start.
